D&D Adventurers League

Adventurers League is a great way to get into D&D 5th edition. You don't have to be experienced to jump into a game. You can create a character on your own or come into the store and we'll print you off a pre-generated character that you can try out for the event. There's always a group for level one adventurers and we're happy to teach you the ropes. That's what Adventurers League is about.

For you that have experience in role playing games in general and D&D in specific, this is a great opportunity to get to know others who love it too. We encourage people to form groups as they get to know each other and many of our regular D&D groups have moved their games to other nights and started new, home-brewed campaigns.

For all those players that love the game but can't commit to a regular, weekly event, the league is a good option for you as well. No one is tied down to be there every week, so you can hop in and out of a game and group as needed. We have at least one to three games running with different adventures to help you find a new story whenever you are able to make it in.

Schedule:
  • Wednesdays: 7PM. These sessions are shorter running from 1.5 - 3 hours.
  • Third Saturdays: 6PM. These are longer sessions that can run 4 - 6 hours in length.
What to Expect:
  • Wednesdays: We have had amazing Wednesday night turn outs. To create an incentive to secure DMs for Wednesday Adventure League, players will pay $2 at the register when they check in to play. All the money will go to DMs. For example, a DM with 7 players will get $14.
    • Anyone can volunteer to be a DM.
  • Third Saturdays: As with Wednesdays, we have had large third Saturday night turn outs. For Saturday Adventure League play, players will pay $4 at the register when they check in to play. All the money will go to DMs. For example, a DM with 7 players will get $28. This price difference is because DMs are planning 4 - 6 hours sessions for the players.
    • Anyone can volunteer to be a DM.
How to become a Dungeon Master:
  • Experienced DMs: Please e-mail us or come in and sign up for nights you want to run games at the store. Also, please feel free to participate in our DM Discussion nights on Tuesday, 7PM. This discussion group is geared to newer DMs, but you are also welcome to join.
  • No Experience or New DMs: If you are interested in becoming a DM but feel you aren't ready or need some training/support, we have DM Discussion sessions on the second Saturday of every month from 6:30 - 8PM. Though all experience levels are welcome, there are experienced DMs specifically present to help brand new to limited experience DMs get some help preparing to run games. Bring questions, ideas, or challenges you've been having. As a group, DMs can come up with great feedback and advice for whatever is troubling you. At times there will be specific topics and other times, it will be group led by what you bring to the session. D&D 5th was the inspiration for these sessions, but you can talk about other systems you're running.
“You are not entering this world in the usual manner, for you are setting forth to be a Dungeon Master. Certainly there are stout fighters, mighty magic-users, wily thieves, and courageous clerics who will make their mark in the magical lands of D&D adventure. You however, are above even the greatest of these, for as DM you are to become the Shaper of the Cosmos. It is you who will give form and content to the all the universe. You will breathe life into the stillness, giving meaning and purpose to all the actions which are to follow.”
